When The Lights Go Out tells an igniting story about a family who fights the curses of the past. Centered around its main character, Gary, who struggles to follow his dreams as a musician because of lack of support he receives from his current wife Sheila. He lives his life in regret trying to make up for lost time that he never used when he was with his one true love Alice who has been deceased for over five years. In doing so, he discourages his daughter Alice who simply wants to follow in his footsteps. In Alicia’s desperation to feel loved by her father, she seeks attention in the things of the world. On the surface, they both use music as their mask of hurt and pain. Yet, underneath uninvited circumstances pushes the real reality of life from the darkness to the light.
